let's just say i'm glad that the bulk of the marathon training will be over the fall/winter when the weather's a little more conducive to being outside. 'course, we'll probably have a blizzard the day before my 20-miler, but whatevs.


today i did my new favorite road bike ride -- from home to churchill and back home as a big circle with big descents. it's about 14 miles, and it takes about 50-55 minutes depending on the weather. i rode at noon. the weather channel says it's 93, but i'm sure it's more like 103 on the blacktop. i had a nice tail wind going out, which made for a nasty head wind coming home. hate wind. especially when it is a hot wind, like today. anyway, it was a good ride. it will probably become a run once i get up to that distance.
